SERIOUS FACILITIES
August......... is there meant to be some sort of sunshine now?? The BBQ has laid dormant for two weeks and apart the short lived joy of losing half a stone we are not at all happy.
Anyway, July has gone and during it we have devised new and exciting ways to make your lives easier.
For all you grading bods out there... We can now get our telecine suite to talk directly to the avid suite. Now that may not seem like much, but to me its been 4 years of Elton John'esque tantrums and tears. We are putting the workflow through its paces, but since we are the first facility in the world (yes I said world!!) to be able to do this we are expecting some teething problems. Our first project 'Stacked' a Channel 4 pilot has sailed through it and we are all very happy.
For our ever increasing in popularity TV Department, PA's online starts in ernest this week. Episode 1 of 6 is a goer
Season 2 of Dear Green Place is on its way here to and we are chuffed to have been choosen by F'n'G to work on this series again.
We have just installed the first HDCAM SR VTR in Scotland, This is about to become the only delivery format for BBC HD and in plain speak, It squeezes your lovely images onto tape less to make it fit on it.
Commercials Dept wise, we have worked on Visit Scotland, Subway and The Sun which had us welcoming back the lovely Sam Miller. Examples of these ads will be up when we are allowed to do so. The fire safety ad we did with Martin Wedderburn and The Leith is now on air and its to your left there, so have a look. More info on the recent work page.
